Phytoremediation of mercury contaminated mining sites in Ghana and Burkina Faso with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi

 

Mercury-AMF

is an international research project with partner from Germany, Ghana and Burkina Faso with the aim to investigate an innovative process for the decontamination of mercury-contaminated soils in West Africa. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) plant systems are being developed and tested for mercury extraction of this purpose.
